Drabbles
I'm kind of too sleepy to work on anything else, so the first five people to comment to this post will get an AU twindrabble of their choice! Any scenario, mundane or magical or whatever.

Er. GO!

Nothing is too detailed! I may like this one waaaay too much, though...

They heard the crowds before they saw them.

"My god, so loud," Bill noted, and laughed. "Do you suppose they are all at the theatre for my sake?" The noise of the commotion grew as the carriage approached.

"Of course," Tom replied, and handed Bill the second black glove.

"Yes, I suppose so." Bill pulled on the other half of the pair, the gloves he customarily wore while performing. His eyes found Tom's for a moment, and Tom had to make a conscious effort to continue breathing. Bill had clear brown eyes that had darkened with his anticipation for the evening. "Do you look forward to the performance, Tom?" Bill inquired, and chuckled, shaking his head. "No. It must bore you, after so many nights."

"No," said Tom, more fiercely than he had intended. He added, "I have not tired of it," in a more measured tone.

"Yet," Bill mused. He leaned across Tom in order to twitch the curtains aside and catch a glimpse of those waiting outside.

"Never," Tom murmured. He dug his fingers into the sides of his trousers as he studied the line of Bill's jaw, so close he could easily have caught it and pressed a kiss to it. Bill carried the scent, as always, of fruit and jasmine.

Tom turned his head to the side, to avoid the temptation.

When he glanced up, he found Bill looking at him, and Bill smiled. "Ah, never?" he inquired, then diverted the subject. "So very many, and they will all want to steal a look at me. A touch, perhaps."

"They will not be allowed," said Tom, straightening his shoulders and becoming more watchful as the driver opened the carriage door. He climbed down first, and looked over his shoulder at his charge: Bill's long hair bound up and decorated with strands of pearls; his suit of silk that whispered softly when he moved; his delicate shoes of the same fabric. "Stay ahead of me," Tom told him, abruptly protective, fiercely so.

"Of course." Bill accepted Tom's hand, and Tom's heartbeat sped, as it did with every touch. "It is the only place I feel truly safe, you know."

Tom could not answer to that, except with those three words he would never dare speak. He turned with Bill, instead, and followed close behind him.

Unrequited but not unrequited love is always a winner. They're dancing around each other; made me feel like I was intruding on a fluffy private moment ^3^
