peter's sassy research

Pointless entry week!

I met another Tokio Hotel fan at the County Fair today, and it was hilariously awkward. They had a Guitar Hero station set up at the back of the exhibition building, and I heard the first chords of this song and thought I recognized them. Then I heard Bill Kaulitz's voice and my head exploded, because I wasn't aware that TH existed outside of the internet.

Lol, just kidding. Or not.

Anyway, the girl playing had that Bill t-shirt, the one with his face and colors and crap like that. My skills at description, let me show you them. I decided to wait 'til the song was done and then ask where she got the shirt, which would be a harmless enough conversation starter, though even at the time I was thinking 'lol oh man this is going to be terrible.' And it was, because as soon as she told me that she'd gotten it at a concert and I'd sounded appropriately impressed, we just stood there staring at each other. Just. Staring. Perhaps we were both stunned to learn that Tokio Hotel fandom does actually exist in real life.

At that point we both cracked up and became BFFs for life, except for the part where I actually excused myself with an awkward little laugh and strode away in my Bill-esque getup. This probably made me look like a total crazy stalkerfan even though I dressed in black leather with silver accents before I'd ever heard of TH. >_> This, ladies and gentlemen, is the story of my life.
